Investment Road Show (IRS)

  • 1st ever International Road Show was held by the KP-BOIT in Armani Hotel Dubai in collaboration with World Bank in February; 2015.
  • IRS was indeed a successful event attended by local / foreign investors beside PTI Chief Mr. Imran Khan, Senators, MNA’s, Provincial Ministers, Chief Secretary, Administrative Secretaries and Official of KP-BOIT and ERKF.
  • Projects in the following sectors were showcased in the IRS:
    • Tourism
    • Agriculture
    • Energy & Power
    • Mines & Mineral
    • Housing
  • Beside IRS the following projects were also advertised to attract the local / foreign Investors.
  • Malam Jabba Ski, Chairlift & Hotel Resort
  • Theme / Adventure park at Nathiagali
  • Tourist Recreation, Sports facilities, Theme Park at Hund, District Swabi (Indus River on M1 Motorway)
  • Modernization / Replacement of Ayubia Chairlift Resort
  • Tourist Resort at Takhtbai Archaeological Remains
  • Chairlift Resort at Naran – Lake Saiful Maluk
  • Hotel / Resort at Changlagali

  • Date Farming and Processing Unit at Dera Ismail Khan.

  • KP-BOIT in response to the IRS Dubai & Advertisement received tremendous response from local / foreign investors.
  • Although all the advertised projects were initiated with the consent and collaboration of respective departments yet legal Complications whether the Projects should be executed under PPP Act; 2014 or Lease Policy were raised by the Concerned Departments resultantly received EOI’s could not be scrutinized for want of amendment in both PPP Act; 2014 and Lease Policy.
  • Since Lease Policy’s amendment required approval of the Provincial Cabinet hence it took a short span of time and Lease Policy was amended by the Revenue Department as per requirements of the Investment scenario.
  • The PPP Act; 2014 however consumed considerable time of more than one (01) year and four (04) months and finally the Act was amended in October, 2016.
