OBJECTIVES 

          • To have a quick and easy access and to connect southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with other parts of the Country through M-1 & western route of CPEC i.e. Hakla – Yarak – D.I.Khan.
          • Will enhance and expedite farm to market access.
          • The facility will flourish the business and trade in the region by expeditious transportation of valuable local products to the market and will boost-up Afghan trade via Kohat – Hangu, Bannu- Miranshah and Tank.
          • To connect far-flung areas thus leading to promoting the business activities and boosting up socio economic standards of locals alongwith alleviating poverty.

2. CONSTRUCTION OF SWAT EXPRESSWAY FROM CHAKDARA TO FATEHPUR (80 KM) PHASE-II

OBJECTIVES

        • Through Phase-II of the Expressway, the entire length of the project would be completed from M-1 at Kernal Sher Khan Interchange to Fatehpur Swat.
        • The natural scenic views, hygienic weather condition and beautiful hilly terrain of valley Swat will be explored thereby boosting up the tourism.
        • The Expressway will also serve as an alternate route of OPEC connected via Besham & Gilgit – Chitral – Chakdara .
        • Far-flung areas of Shangla – Mingora – Khwaza Khela and Malakand will be inter connected with upgraded facility and the people livelihood will be promoted.
        • The domestic peace and well being of the community will be promoted.
        • The capacity of accommodating the enhanced traffic flow in view of CPEC activities will be expanded.
